INTERPLANETARY NAVIGATION
Navigation during interplanetary travel is handled using a
coordinates/mapping system known as the LRAN. The name LRAN
is an acronym which stands for LSG RVG Address Navigation, a
method of charting which starts from a Lateral Standard Grid
(LSG) place and then appends the relevant Relative Vertical Grid
(RVG) value which lets you easily navigate the vast expanses
between and around planets. LRAN is the standard method of
navigation among most interplanetary travelers and an LRAN
Determination System can be commonly found within the auto-
piloting computers of many interplanetary vessels.

 TIP
It is very easy to get incredibly, entirely, and hopelessly
lost within space during interplanetary travel. To
substantially mitigate this risk, it is advised to keep the
LRAN coordinates of familiar solar systems well memorized or
written down, as well as keeping excess fuel within your
interplanetary vessel in case of an emergency.
